Filip Peruzović

Born in 1986. Graduated in Film directing (BA and MA) at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb.

Directed long feature film Walk the Dog, which won the Croatian Actor’s Guild Award for Best drama in 2015. and the award for Best Male Performance in 2016. (Franjo Dijak in the role of Janko). Attended the Sarajevo and Berlinale Talent Campuses. Won the Rector’s Award at the University of Zagreb for the short fiction film Tetrapak. Worked as TV director at the Croatian National Television from 2009.-2015. on TV shows Briljanteen, Knjiga ili život, Stand Up 3, Juhuhu, and Generation Y.

From 2015. up until now he has been working as a freelance director on TV Series such as The Sweet Cook (for the production house Antitalent) and Drive Safely (B produkcija). His short fiction film Coffee with Jam won the award for Best short film at the Pula Film Festival in 2013. and the award for Best regional film at the 2013. Kratkofil Plus film festival in Banja Luka. He directed the segment Sinking Objects in the omnibus film Deep Cuts which won the Best New Talent Award at the Valetta Film Festival in 2019. and Best Cinematography Award at the Pula Film Festival in 2018.

His most recent short fiction film Little Waves is a Croatian-French co-production. It was supported by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, the French-German TV station ARTE and the Centre National du Cinema, and is just entering festival distribution.

He is one of the founders of the Plafon arts organization, a member of the Croatian Director’s Guild, and a member of the Croatian Freelance Artist’s Association.
